ALREADY KNOW THE BASICS? THIS IS YOUR REGISTRATION.
The Intermediate registration is for students who have already learned and are comfortable with the foundational chunky yarn stitches and techniques. If you’ve previously taken my Chunky Blanket Class, attended beginner instruction in one of my other chunky yarn classes, or already have experience working with these techniques and can comfortably use them on your own, this is your registration.
You do not need to arrive for the additional beginner instruction.
You’ll join us when we’re ready to jump directly into creating the Chunky Yarn Christmas Tree.
Our beginner students will already have spent the previous hour learning and practicing the foundational skills they’ll need, so you won’t have to sit through an hour of instruction covering stitches and techniques you already know.
We can get right to the good stuff. Making the tree.
But “Intermediate” doesn’t mean I hand you some yarn, point at a Christmas Tree, and tell you good luck.
I’m still going to guide you step-by-step through the entire project.
The difference is that we can build on skills you already have instead of starting from the very beginning. And just like every class I teach, I’m not interested in having you blindly copy my hands. I want you to understand what you’re doing and WHY you’re doing it.

How to build and shape a three-dimensional chunky yarn project
How the structure of the project changes as you work
How to keep your stitches consistent while shaping
Why certain techniques are used to create the finished shape

Not completely comfortable with the basics yet?
If you have NOT already learned the foundational chunky yarn stitches and techniques, please register for the Beginner option. Beginner students arrive one hour earlier specifically so I can teach those foundational skills and give them time to practice before we start the Christmas Tree.
If you’re unsure which registration you need, choose Beginner. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with taking the extra hour. I’d rather have you come early and realize, “Oh shit, I already know this,” than arrive for Intermediate and realize five minutes into the project that you absolutely do not.
