NEW TO CHUNKY YARN? THIS IS YOUR REGISTRATION.

If you’ve never worked with chunky yarn before, or you have not already learned the basic stitches and techniques, you need the Beginner registration.

Beginner students arrive at 12 PM, one hour before our intermediate students.

During that first hour, I’ll teach you the foundational chunky yarn stitches and techniques you’ll need, give you time to practice, show you what mistakes to watch for, and make sure you’re comfortable before we begin the actual Pumpkin project at 1 PM.

At 1 PM, our intermediate students will join us and we’ll all begin creating the Pumpkin together.

That extra hour means you aren’t trying to learn brand-new stitches while also trying to keep up with the project.

I’ll guide you step-by-step, teaching you not only how to make your Pumpkin, but how to understand what you’re doing and why you’re doing it.

You’ll learn:

• Beginner and intermediate chunky yarn stitches and techniques

• How to shape and structure chunky yarn into a three-dimensional project

• Why we do things a certain way, so you’re not just blindly following directions

• What mistakes to watch for

• How to recognize when something isn’t looking right

• How to fix it

• All the little tips, tricks, and techniques I’ve learned through 20+ years of experience

You won’t get this level of instruction from an online tutorial or another chunky yarn class in town.

My goal isn’t for you to leave saying:

“Look at this Pumpkin I made.”

I want you to leave saying:

“Holy crap. I know how to MAKE that.”

Because there’s a difference. You’ll learn techniques you can carry into other chunky yarn projects long after this class is over. You’re not paying to simply follow along with a project. You’re learning a skill you get to keep. And you just happen to walk out with a ridiculously cute chunky yarn Pumpkin.

Already know the basics?

If you have already learned the foundational chunky yarn stitches and techniques, for example, through my Chunky Blanket class or another beginner-level class I've taught, and you’re comfortable with them, you may be ready for the Intermediate registration, which begins at 1 PM.

If you’re not sure, choose Beginner.

Better to have an extra hour of practice than spend the whole class staring at your yarn wondering where your life went wrong.
